Our Areas of Specialization

We can help you analyze partnership agreements, buy-sell agreements, leasing, franchising, sales and management contracts for tax and business considerations. We also provide planning, preparation and audit representation on all federal and state income, estate and gift taxation matters.

The tax department advises clients on a wide variety of tax matters, such as the structuring of mergers and acquisitions, sales and/or liquidations of businesses. We frequently provide advice on S corporations, compensation planning (including incentives), other retirement matters, loss carry forwards and the tax consequences of estate planning arrangements. We also advise and help clients in structuring their affairs with regard to the tax consequences and the type of entity used for business acquisitions, financing and development and sales of real estate when owned in LLC, partnership, corporate, trust or individual form.

We are in a unique position in terms of personnel and experience to fulfill your needs for a part-time bookkeeper/controller. We are currently using Creative Solutions, Inc. software for all checkbook functions, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and individual, trust, corporation and partnership tax return processing.

Examples of businesses for which we currently provide or recently have provided these services:

  1. a Real Estate developer -- who requisitions for funds on a regular basis. He comes in regularly and counts on us to make deposits or write checks sometimes on a moments notice.
  2. a Distributor -- where their need for privacy on all payroll issues had induced them to retain our firm to handle the entire payroll function as well as sign payroll checks.  We also filed their monthly sales tax reports and had signature on their main checking account.
  3. a Large Restaurant chain -- who preferred that invoices be entered by experienced personnel, who are trained to be thorough and will as a matter of course reconcile invoices against vendor statements.  They wanted invoices to be paid timely and for us to maintain and provide accurate bank balances up to the minute with monthly bank reconciliations.
  4. a Clothing Retailer -- where personal sickness was the inducement to have our office handle all the accounting and bookkeeping needs from writing checks for payroll and paying invoices to suppliers, to making deposits of cash at the bank.
